Baby Douglass is growing and so is momma Betsy. This week Baby Douglass' skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — the lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Baby Douglass probably weighs about 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and is around 5 inches long from head to rump. Baby Douglass can move its joints, and it's sweat glands are starting to develop.
Additionally, those little fingers and toes feature one-of-a-kind prints!!!!
Out of everything we keep reading, we know that we'll be able to feel Baby Douglass move soon....so excited for that experinece..and hope that Betsy knows it's the baby moving and not gas!

How exciting! I love it when I can visualize how big - a turnip :). Can't wait to hear when you feel the baby move for the first time! Have you decided if you're going to find out what you're having!?!? -Mary
